Education :- The Compass of Human life

Recent surveys show that about 287 million people in India are illiterate. Education is the most essential thing for an individual to survive and live a better life in 21st century. It is the guiding light which directs the person through the dark tunnel of ignorance, poverty, worthlessness and servitude.

Being the biggest democracy in the whole world, it is an absolute unacceptable fact that people belonging to India do not have equal opportunities to educate themselves. Despite, the various inclusive government initiatives, youth and the elderly section of Indian society belongs to the periphery when an educational sector is analyzed.

Education is a pre requisite for building a better persona of a person which will ultimately turn him into an asset for the country. Owning to the fact that India is one of the most populous nations present today, the call is for equal and sustainable availability of opportunities to build the human capacity to the fullest. Also, the need is of stereotype deconditioning which would update the entrenched biases in the Indian mindset regarding societal labels that are given to males and females.

Education is part of one of the fundamental rights which are enshrined in the Constitution of India, now the emphasis should be led on the proper implementation of those laws that are still resting on paper even after 70 years of our independence at the grass root level.

Spreading awareness about the importance of educating oneself is essential to be carried out in a systematic and organized form. Using the bottom to top approach, we can actually bring a significant change in the existing scenario. And this is what our NGO is up to, owning to our moral obligation towards our fellow citizens, we can render some tangible support to the needy so that they can also have a level playing field and can practice equal opportunities to develop their potential.

Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. It is the only way through which we can serve our nation and pave the way for the future generation to steer the wheel of peace and integrity in the coming period of time. Intellectuality is the key to every possible lock that the world is facing today. Hence, we should come together and feel obligated towards each other, and help ourselves by availing fair chances to all so that they can educate themselves. Education plays significant role in modeling the leaders of tomorrow.
